The Chaumer

We regret that from 2017 we will no longer be offering our self-catering facility.

The Area

Where do we start? Or, more to the point, where do you start?

On foot or cycle you can explore the Fife Coastal Path and the Kingdom Route of Fife’s Millennium Cycleways which run right through our farm.

Or take the car and explore Aberdour, the East Neuk or St Andrews.

Motorsport? KnockhillCrail and Cowdenbeath are within minutes.

Other sports? Sailing, tennis, bowling, ten-pin bowling, gliding, falconry, swimming, water-skiing, fishing (sea, river and loch), walking, curling, clay target shooting, archery and many other activity sports are all in this area.

Deep Sea World is just a few minutes away, as are Scotland’s ancient capital of Dunfermline, the royal palace at Falkland, Loch Leven and its island castle where Mary Queen of Scots was held captive.

Many of our visitors like to visit the Falkirk Wheel or you could spend a day or two in Glasgow, Perth or Stirling – all an easy drive from here.

If you wish to visit Edinburgh and its attractions including the castle, the zoo, the Royal Yacht Brittania, the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament you can drive, hop on a train at Aberdour railway station or use the nearby park-and-ride at Inverkeithing.
